is using all means of modern communication, allowing
permanent contact
between office, waterclerks, captain and officers.

public authorities and all private companies that are
involved, such as stevedores, shippers, consignees,
custom officers, bunker suppliers, shipchandlers,...
Our agency department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week. Well equipped with the latest communication
systems, e.g., Comtext e-mail, Internet, mobile pocket
telephones, fax, etc., thereby ensuring efficient and
fast response in providing all agency services. Many
years of experience and faultless service let our company
to be a protecting agent of many large shipping companies.
Apart
from the numerous dry cargo and tanker vessels cleared
by our agency department, various owners appoint
us as their husbandry/protecting agent not only in
Somaliland but in Somalia as well. For Foreign companies
operating temporarily in the area, we can offer supply
of personnel, rendering office facilities and housing
as well.

As long ago as 1994, Mr Djama Omar decided to start
his own business, and he established one of the first
dedicated shipping agencies in Somaliland. Today, more
than 11 years later, the one-time pioneer has turned
into a well established company, representing a first
class shipping line "P.I.L" (Pacific International
Line) that sail to all continents around the globe
and cater for containerized cargo.
IMSS is not only the largest independent liner agent
in Somaliland, but also enjoys an excellent reputation;

both cargo and containerized vessels and we have a
capability of clearing both imports/exports through
